This November 7th the city of Barranquilla is set to host Colombia 4.0, one of the most important digital and Orange Economy meetings in the country.
Last September the conference had 85,000 participants in the nation’s capital of Bogota. The event connects the technology, creative, and innovation communities.
At Colombia 4.0 attendees will hear stories on success and failure from entrepreneurs and executives from around the world, including from Gustavo Solima, Director of Alliances for Latin America at Oracle, who will discuss “Co-creating new business models with innovation.”
Another speaker is Ron Oliver, Director at Startup Mexico, one of the leading startup organizations in Mexico.
Startup Mexico was Mexico’s first innovation campus for entrepreneurs, and provides seed capital, space and entrepreneurial services to startups.
Another of the world’s leading startup accelerators, 500 Startups, will also be represented at the conference. The organization’s General Partner Santiago Zavala will discuss the fundraising landscape for startups in Latin America.
Colombia 4.0 will be held at Puerta de Oro in Barranquilla, and is the result of an alliance between the Ministry of Information Technology and Communications and the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, via iNNpulsa.
In Atlántico the conference has the support of AtlántiConnect and #ConstruyoBAQ. Throughout the city of Barranquilla the tech ecosystem continues to grow, in part due to leaders such as Jonathan Tarud, CEO at Koombea.
