The last Sunday of July is traditionally reserved for the biggest running event in Colombia. The 16th edition of The Media Maratón de Bogotá attracted almost 45,000 national and international athletes.
The three-hour long stream of purple saw people of all generations take part in the race through the capital. Stanley Biwott from Kenya took the men’s title while Ethiopian Amane Gobena won in the women’s race.
