The most popular language exchange in the city changes venue.
Everyone’s favourite language exchange and party, Gringo Tuesdays, has got a new home. Founder and organiser Tiffany Kohl said: “After seven wonderful years of hosting Colombia’s largest language exchange and international party at La Villa, we’re excited to take this big step to keep growing and evolving.”
The weekly event is moving to Vintrash Bar in Zona Rosa, on Calle 85 #11-53, where they have expanded to include two dancefloors – one for latin music and one for electronic tunes – and new games rooms. Drunk giant jenga, what could go wrong? Kohl added “This move brings about new and exciting changes for the Gringo Tuesday’s family and at Vintrash Bar we will have the opportunity to experiment with different music styles, activities and more to keep it fresh.” They’ll celebrate their seventh birthday on May 22 with their biggest party yet, a good chance to break in the new digs.

Gringo Tuesdays is held every Tuesday (clue’s in the name) with a free language exchange from 5pm-9pm, followed by a party from 9pm onwards. Entry to the fiesta side of things costs $20,000 but that includes a beer. Plus, beers are two for one during the language exchange to help loosen your tongue.
