Rumours have swirled thick enough for them to have become reports as Colombian star James Rodriguez is now tipped for a move to Italian club Juventus after continued unhappiness at his current club Bayern Munich.
Frustrated by his continued supporting role at the German club, Rodriguez had allegedly made his intentions to move earlier this month.
The report, made by Italian radio station Rai Sport, claimed that Rodriguez could make the switch courtesy of a ￡62 million payment to Real Madrid and have Adidas provide the supplementary financing of the transfer.
Rodriguez had a promising first season at Bayern but is currently having an unsatisfying year, having played 316 minutes of game time, scored two goals the German club and few starts. Many feel coach Niko Kovac hasn’t played him to the extent of his exceptional talent. Bayern themselves have moved to sixth place in the Bundesliga, most recently losing 3-0 to Möchengladbach last weekend.

Colombia on the other hand had the chance to see Rodriguez at his best at their disposal, after having scored another jaw-dropping goal in their friendly against the United States. Bayern Munich didn’t confirm the reports though they did sportingly tweet Rodriguez’s golazo with the words “just because it was pretty”.
The move to Juventus would mean Rodriguez would pair up with superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, who transferred from Real Madrid this year for ￡105 million to the Italian Serie A. The two had played together at Real Madrid until Rodriguez was loaned to Bayern Munich for two years.
Ronaldo and Rodriguez both share the same agent Jorge Mendes and it was claimed that Juventus want the Colombian midfielder as part of a unit that could win them a Champions League trophy. The storied Italian side haven’t won the title since 1996 despite making the finals five times since their last victory.
